One of the most powerful moments as an organizer working for the Clinton campaign was meeting a female Clinton supporter and a veteran of the women's air force service pilots (WASP's) during WWII who had also received the congressional gold medal in 2010. Knowing that this woman had seen the worst that war could offer, come home and continue to face discrimination based on her gender, and now had the chance to vote for possibly the first female president was a humbling experience and gave me perspective just how impactful the candidacy of Hillary Clinton meant for this country and her supporters.
