Dear Hillary,
After a long, hard fought campaign, I would like to express my gratitude for what you have done for this country. You have never given up, through all the hardships you have faced. I sincerely hope that you are now finding peace.

I am sixteen and I am a junior in high school. Throughout your campaign, I found myself looking to you as a role model. The debates between you and your opponent were often a topic of discussion at my lunch table. Most of the time it would be me against the rest of my friends, trying to make them see why your values and ideas were best for the country. These discussions taught me that even though I faced great opposition, my opinion mattered and I had a right to speak up. You have taught me to stand up for what I believe in and to never back down. I hope one day, like you, I can make a positive impact on the world.

Since November, I have been keeping up with what has been happening in the political world. Instead of coming home from school and playing on the computer like most teenagers, I come home and watch C-SPAN. I've found that politics really do captivate me. This year, I decided to apply for the Girls State program to get more hands on experience in government. I am happy to say that my application was accepted and I cannot wait to go! Thank you for inspiring me and for helping me to realize that I can achieve my dreams. I wish you and your family the best of luck in all of your future endeavors.

Never stop letting your light shine.
