"I always loved Prince from the very 1st album... 'For You'. I collected, read, watched everything I could get my hands on that was Prince and or related 2 him. So when word came that he was making a movie, I told my father "I am there". Well, that April 9th of 1984, my grandfather, my father's father, past away. Not once did he show any signs of mourning him. Well, that summer of the same year, Purple Rain, came out in the theatres. Of course I went to c it and I went with my father. First time, I ever saw him cry, and finally showed signs of grieving. During the song Purple Rain, daddy said Prince literally was saying what he felt in regards to my grandfather. 2 this day, my father cannot listen 2 Purple Rain without crying. He listens everyday. He says thats his bridge 2 grandfather. Prince was that bridge."
Prince, have been there through every stage, tragedy, accomplishment, victory, everything 4 me through ur music. U have a song 4 every mood, stage, phrase of and 4 my life. Most times, I felt u was talking directly 2 me. And u never knew, u meant so much 2 me. I loved U, love U and always will love U. Prince Rogers Nelson, U was truly a gift from God. He took u bcuz ur work here on earth was done. U have connected millions of friends 2gether via the different avenues of social media. Where as we all are no longer friends, however 1 huge purple family. I wouldnt trade my purple brothers and sisters 4 nothing in the world. Hopefully we can have a family union. We all still r grieving ur ascension, however we r helping 1another through it along with the beautiful music u left us. We got it. We received ur messages through ur music... Love 4 1 another!!! U lived this and so shall we. My fiance and myself discussed that when we take that crossover to join ourselves in marriage (which it will be next month) we r also getting baptized together. That way we start off fresh and new and 2gether as 1. That is one of my memorials in honor of u and the late Sister Denise Matthews. I was still mourning her ascension, when u ascended. May ur soul rest with our Father. ????????????
