My Prince Story

Annonymous   —

As a little girl, I can remember sitting in my father's car with him and hearing I Wanna Be Your Lover on the radio. I thought, WOW I like the sound of that voice and thinking it was a girl singing. Remember, I'm a small child. Lol
I asked my father who was singing and he told me he thinks it's a guy named Prince.
I was 8 yrs old at the time. A little later I was watching American Bandstand and here this man starts to sing that song I liked from the radio. At that moment I was captivated, mesmerised by this man. I didn't know what sexy really was but I thought he was. He was and is the epitome of sexy. So from that moment I had a face to the song and I was in love. Over the years I would collect anything Prince related. Magazines, posters and of course, his music. I would save my lunch money from school just to buy his albums and anything he was on. My Mother would not allow me to go to concerts so I had to wait till I was 18. It felt like an eternity. But I finally got to go and WOW. Just when I thought I couldn't fall more in love with him, I did. And every concert thereafter. I've always wanted and dreamed of going to Paisley Park. And now I'll never get to do that. Throughout the years, concerts were becoming difficult to attend because of the flashing lights due to I have Multiple Sclerosis. My dream was to meet Prince one day before I couldn't walk anymore. I never wanted him to see me in a wheelchair. I wanted to look and be my best. Well, that dream is now crushed. I will forever be grateful for the many many years of joy he has brought me and helping me through life's obsticles. I will cherish all the Prince memoribilia I have collected over the years. I thank him for bringing me on this great musical journey. I will forever love him. Thank U, Prince ??
Until we meet again...
Peace and be wild
