My husband and I dedicated our wedding to Prince in 1997. We had ice sculptures of the symbol lit up in purple..our first dance was to Adore, the garter toss to Sexy MF, the bouquet toss to P Control and purple roses dressed all the tables! Prince brought us together and kept us together however there was a very well kept secret that nobody knew.
We were in Vegas for his musicology tour in 2004 and we were sitting next to the stage. At one point Prince was walking past and went to grab my hand but missed. I was devastated. However, he didn't go far, came right back and grabbed my hand. I was ecstatic!!! Something changed in me that night. It was hard to explain but as if a special awakening energy was zapped inside of me. I felt this empowerment I had never felt before. Transported to another realm...maybe? but...I can tell you this! That night was the beginning of the end of my abusive marriage. I was touched by an angel and it gave me the strength I needed to make big changes in my life. Prince brought us together but Prince also broke us apart and I am forever grateful and blessed. He changed my life! Thank you Prince! I love you forever! RIP
