I'LL ALWAYS FIND YOU THERE

Annonymous   —

Dear Prince Rogers Nelson & Princelings everywhere,
My story is simply that you, Prince, reached out to me in a way few musicians have done during my lifetime. Your music was always the thread. It led me back to moments in my own life and forward into dreams and imaginings. And I always saw you as , first and foremost, an artist since I am an artist myself although my medium is paint and paper. But I felt I knew you artist-to-artist: the passion, the obsession, the absolute need to make your music/to be its conduit. From what you called "funk" and I call "blues" or "jazz" you were masterful. Too, you were an artist with a deep socio-political conscience and I so respected you for that.
Your music has been the soundtrack to several of my mixed-media works. I made this one for you. It's called PN@M (Prince Now At Music) because I know I will always find you there!
