The tickets were donated for under priveleged kids at the club. My Dad was out of work, i had torn sneakers to run around in but i still loved your music and volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club. Had to spend the night with my friend and classmate Eichelle E. In order to go. My parents and Grandparents said no. I was in 6th grade. I went to Eichelle's her parents dropped us off and picked us up. It was great! Saw U again at the same venue with 2 BFs about 5 yrs. Ago...28 yrs later from the 1st show i saw u. Love listening to your music all my life. Danced the whole time at the show. You put us in a funk dance trance! Love U 4 ever. You are a visionary, incredible musician and artist. Thank U.
