Prince and me

Annonymous   —

I have always been a devoted music listener of his and I'm grateful that I had the privilege of being able to share his music with my children who loved him as well. They grew up listening to every song he released and made our lives better for the wonderful memories we have together as a family, being surrounded by his talent. The day he passed, we cried and shared memories that we had together while we listened to him sing or watched his movies. Whether it was dancing while we cleaned the house or snuggled in bed on a rainy day to watch one of his movies, his talent, was some of the cause for music, singing and laughter to filled the house making wonderful memories for my family and me. That caused a special connection I have with my daughters that I hold precious and I thank him profusely for sharing that with the world. His music meant so much to me that I wrote a three book romance novel over the course of a two year period with my main character inspired by him. Through all of my ups and downs over the course of 30 years, his voice, words, and wonderful melodies have been the backdrop to my life and many days the cause for me to rise out of bed. Even though I never had the fortunate experience in meeting him, his words, sounds and voice helped mold and shape who I am today. My daughters have told me that with his passing, to them it feels like they lost a parent but to me, his passing means a little more and I pray that he knew the effect, uplifting guidance he provided for so many people. Even though the show has ended, we look forward in seeing him at the aftershow in the future. He was a true gift from God and everytime it thunders, I think of the wonderful performances, him and others are performing for God and his angels. We will miss you dear sweet Prince.
