I am 53 years young and I remember hearing 1999 and Little Red Corvette thinking... 'wow this guy is the bomb!' My childhood was definitely influenced by his music and so many others, but Prince was one of my all time favorites! I am a teacher and when I heard of his passing while in my classroom I literally cried and was overcome by sadness. For the next few days I was home (it was the weekend), I listened to the news, music and everything Prince. His greatest hits has been playing in my car ever since, non-stop. I was lucky enough to see him in concert about ten years ago in Tampa. I will never forget the excitement, chills and joy brought to me and my best friend that day. So happy I was able to see him in person! One of a kind, there will never be another one like him. I guess you can say he played a big part of my life with his music and presence. I will miss him and will always treasure every bit of his musical talent.
