I'm now 46 and my daughter 21. I've been to three Prince concerts here in Australia, the first one in 1992 - the second and third in 2003 & 2012. He opened with "Thunder" for the first concert and I cried my eyes out at the first sight of him on stage. Fast forward to 2012 when my daughter and I went to see him. We were only two rows back from the front and so close to the stage. Happy happy joy joy!!! He was doing a mixed number on the piano right in front of us - I was standing up, and when I looked back at my daughter sitting in her chair - she was crying her eyes out, too. Seeing her reaction instantly brought me back to my very first experience of seeing him on stage for the first time. A very proud mother and daughter moment indeed.
I even still have the purple confetti we scraped from the floor.
One of those FOREVER moments etched in my memory. Thank you Prince for bringing us the best of yourself. X
