Making an outsider feel accepted

Annonymous   —

I remember my sister playing The Space Oddity record when I was 8 years old. From the opening chords, I was mesmerized and I remember being taken on an epic adventure through space and time. I remember seeing photos of the Thin White Duke and thinking how handsome and cool this cat looked. David's music was a huge part of my life soundtrack. Whenever I felt awkward or felt like an outsider, he was a reminder of how it was ok to be a little weird. David's work and ideas continue to motivate me creatively and I was deeply saddened when I found out he has left this world. I would like to think he is out there reuniting and jamming with some old friends and looking down on his loved ones.my heart goes out to his family.
