My parents, Dick and Nancy Riggs, are avid John Denver fans! They attended 64 concerts across the United States. They met John several times. For many of the shows they wore bright yellow shirts that said "John Denver People Are Beautiful People". John looked for them and would stop and take a picture with them. They have a wall in their living room dedicated to pictures of John with and without them. My mother took her favorite photograph of John and created a cross stitch that hangs in their dining room. They have an entire room of John Denver memorabilia- including picks, ticket stubs, cassette tapes, a blanket made from concert t-shirts and so much more. My mother passed away on September 6, 2015. I am sure John was there to welcome her with open arms.
