I've been listening to John's music since I was 15 yrs old. A long time ago for me. Take Me Home Country Roads was my introduction song. His voice immediately jumped out at me right from the radio. I wanted to know who was singing & everything about him. As soon as I got a stereo system I started buying his records. 45's, albums, 8 track tapes, cassettes, & now CD's. My collection is extensive & I feel it was money well spent. I was lucky enough to see him 5 times in concert. Absolutely the best live performer I've ever seen. You just knew every time he came out on stage he was going to give you the very best performance he possibly could. He never disappointed his fans. From his music I got a deeper love for the American West & longed to go there someday to see it for myself. I especially wanted to see his beloved Colorado that he loved so much. I went to Aspen in Oct 2012 to see the beauty of those mountains & to pay my respects to a man I never met personally but have loved from afar since my teenage years. Thank you, John for always being there with a song when I need some cheering up. Thank you for all you did to try to make this world a much better place for all of us to live. Your lyrics & words of wisdom have been so comforting to me through the years. John, may you always rest in the peace & beauty of the Rocky Mountains that you loved so much.
