CHAPTER :
But What About When You're Older?

Another one of the common questions for people with tattoos...I got this one a lot in college, and at every part-time job I ever had. This one always came after "you'll never get a job!" once I explained that I was already employed, because obviously I can't just be leading a normal life. If you have a tattoo, clearly your life has to be horrible in some aspect, and if it's not, obviously it will be someday. That's the attitude I usually got, especially once I had my hands and fingers done.

I always thought this was an odd question. What about when I'm older? Who's worried about what they'll look like when they're older? I'm worried about my health at old age, my family, my legacy, my assets...the things you should worry about in old age aren't even factors in my life yet. I always tell people that if I make it to 95 and my biggest concern is my physical appearance, I'll be the luckiest guy alive.
