Oreo rescued us about two years ago. I had wanted a dog my entire life, and the time just felt right. We looked and looked for weeks, but we didn’t bond with any of the dogs we met. One night we came across a shelter online called San Antonio R.O.C.K.S, and after seeing Oreo’s cute little face we made a quick decision to go meet her that night. When we rang the door to her foster home, she immediately ran out, wagged her tail and smiled. At that moment, we knew she was the one.

She was the cutest, scruffiest little pup, in serious need of a haircut. But she couldn’t stop smiling and wagging her tail, and we couldn’t stop smiling either. About a week later, a family friend brought her a little green squeaky toy. It quickly became her favorite, and she still takes it to bed with her every night. Oreo has helped us explore all of Austin and meet new people. She loves playing with her tennis balls and going to Zilker with her pupfrens.
