Brooklyn's momma was found running the streets of Austin, pregnant with four tiny puppies and ready to pop. Brooklyn and her three siblings were born and raised in the shelter, hoping one day they would all find their forever homes. Fast forward eight weeks: my husband and I were out shopping and came upon an adoption event. In a big playpen were four little fluff balls, begging for attention. However, we only had eyes for one: Brooklyn was the Queen Bee, climbing all over her siblings in order to reach us first and lick our hands. It was a no-brainer. We signed the adoption papers and took her home that day. She got the name Brooklyn from her sass and her Queen "B" status.

Nowadays, Brooklyn spends her days relaxing at home with her two older brothers, visiting breweries, and ruling the house. What can she say? Once a Queen Bee, always a Queen B.
